WELCOME TO OUR NEWSLETTER
This is the May edition of The News from Seruku. It's sent out once a month, at the beginning of the month, to let you know what's going on at Seruku. If you'd like to be a subscriber, it's easy: just sign up for the mailing list.

A SLIGHT NAME CHANGE
Starting with Version 1.1, we shortened the name of the product formerly known as Seruku Toolbar for Internet Explorer. It's now simply Seruku ToolbarTM.

SERUKU TOOLBAR 1.1
Version 1.1 of Seruku Toolbar is finally out. We have a lot of excuses but, at the end of the day, it still took too long. You'll be glad to know, however, that 1.1 is substantially faster than 1.0, and includes every single one of the 10 most requested features. Chief among them were, of course, the ability to resize  Seruku ToolbarTM and the ability to make backups of the Seruku datastore.

If you have an earlier version of  Seruku ToolbarTM, your license key will still work-- just download the installer for the new version and run it. WARNING: don't run the uninstaller for the old version-- that will delete the Seruku datastore (and you will lose all your old web pages).

A RECORD NUMBER OF DOWNLOADS
One of the most gratifying things about shareware products is that there's an immediate feedback loop. If you ship a physical product (for example, lawn chairs), there's a lag in what you know. You know how many items you put into one end of the distribution chain, but it takes a while to find out how many actually sold (they could, for example, be sitting in a warehouse). Whereas with shareware you actually see people downloading the installer. You know what's going on, and you know immediately. We're mentioning this because we're excited-- downloads have been increasing lately; and that means more people are trying out Seruku ToolbarTM than ever before.

GOT A STORY TO SHARE? OR A PRODUCT SUGGESTION?
We love to hear from users. If you're using our software, let us know (conversely, if you were using our software, and stopped, we'd love to hear about that too). The hardest part of building a new software company is establishing relationships with customers. We really want to know how you use our products, and how they could be improved.

ABOUT THIS NEWSLETTER
The News from Seruku is a monthly newsletter, sent out on or around the first of the month. We hope you're interested in what we're doing, and we hope you find the newsletter informative. If you don't, though, we'd be happy to remove you from the mailing list. Just hit reply and let us know. In any case, we're not sharing your e-mail address with anyone. We don't like spam any more than you do.
